Unboxed: SanDisk Extreme USB 3.0 flash drive

We just received some SanDisk USB 3.0 Extreme flash drives from the local distributor of SanDisk in the Philippines. USB 3.0 peripherals are not yet widely sold in the market, likely due to retailers think this technology is too new or too expensive. After initial testing of this SanDisk Extreme flash drive, we strongly feel that now is the time for this market to change. With blazing fast speeds and reasonable pricing, this flash drive is quite a treat for transfer freaks (like us!)

Rated speeds:
16GB – 190 mb/s read, 55 mb/s write
32GB – 190 mb/s read, 110 mb/s write
64GB – 190 mb/s read, 170 mb/s write

Actual speeds (initial testing for a 2.63GB mp4 file)
32GB – 110 mb/s burst speed, 55 mb/s sustained transfer speed

32GB – Php 2500 (USD 58)
64GB – no pricing info yet
